I'm planning on hanging a bare (no glass) print in a bathroom next to a shower. The environment will obviously be damp so I'm wondering what can be used as a protectant. I know Krylon makes various protectant and preservative sprays but does anyone have a suggestion?

how will you be hanging it? in a frame but with no glass? are you planning on spraying the back, too? it seems like you're just asking for trouble. frame it properly so that it's protected.

Hi Annette,

Thanks for the quick response. Actually, glassed frames in a humid environment are a real problem. Unless they are very well sealed. moisture collects inside, paper bubbles, etc. I hoped to be able to fasten a mounted print to the wall. I assume one or more of the Krylon (or other brand) sprays will do the trick but I don't know which might be best.

p.s. Don't laugh...the print is a 24x30 beach scene complete with lighthouse, all surrounded by a faux window frame. A real window is considerably more expensive!
