My tv only has one set of monitor outs ( video, L channel R channel)
Now i have them currently running to my Receiver.
I recently purchased a dvd recorder can i simply put a Y spitter and connect the dvd recorder and the receiver?
or does this not make any sense?
tv is a 30" philips hdtv. av 1-5 and 1 set of monitor outs

will you be running the reciever at the same time ? if so, you may get some less quality. but you can use a y connector.
I understand that you are sending out the the signal to the dvd recorder correct ? if so you should be fine, might just have some less quality of picture and sound.

Thanks..
I was just wondering if it would be possible.
And say im only running the reciever for sound and the dvd recorder is off would i get less quality?

hkerekes,
What we did before we got our dvd/vcr combo unit was to use a video/audio switch on the separate components.
This worked quite well.
