My bathroom shower/bath tub and toilet are an ugly mustard yellow. Is there anything that I can do to them besides just replacing both?

JCobb,
You already gave the answer. No
Best break out the wallet and go shopping. Reglazing isn't the best choice. Toilets are not reglazed.
Good Luck!

I never seen gold described that way! Id call it harvest gold, from the 70"s?
If you can afford to replace the toilet, which isnt real hard or expensive,at least in P.A, a toilet is as cheap as 60 dollars. then maybe a real dramatic shower curtain from ceiling to floor would cover up the tub, are the walls a nice color? or does it enhance the yellow too much? and lighting, is is dark in the bathroom so it makes it look dreary? are the fixtures chrome instead of brass or gold? silver clashes.
If you cant afford to replace the toilet, put a white toilet seat cover on, and a tank cover set on white, and make it look like you are doing the white and gold and navy theme .stripes perhaps?
what about he floor? what color is it, the idea is to take attention away from the gold, yellow color and put it on lighter brighter or dramatic colors, now if you were a steeler fan, you'd have it made. black and gold!
reglazing from what Ive seen, is much much more expensive than replacing the tub!

Doesn't matter what you call it... it's ugly/dated/and depressing. Do it right... save up a few bucks and do the "replacement thing".... Until then, wear rose colored glasses in the bathroom.
