I need to determine who the manufacturer of my windows are. I need to replace 2 stops but I do not know who the manufacturer is so that I can try to replace them. Is there any way to identify the manufacturer? The windows are wood double hung windows.
Thanks

hi
if it's a new home
the builder would have the name of the company
or ask the previous owner

On the window there should be a sticker with all the info you need, pull down the top sash and look up under the frame.

I cannot find any identifying info on any of the windows but I did find a label in the insulation in the attic below one of the windows that matches the rest in the house. It looks like my windows were made by Vision Windows and Doors in Duluth Georgia. I cannot find any information on them. My guess is that they are no longer in business. Does anyone have any suggestion for how I could get 2 stops for one of the windows? Thanks.

Please describe what you are calling "stops".

What I am calling stops are the T shapped plastic pieces that clip in between the glass and the wood window frame to hold the glass in the window frame. The top of the T would be facing the outside of the house and the vertical part of the T would be between the glass and the wood frame.

That's what I thought. Unfortunately, without the manufacters name, they are going to be almost impossible to get. Andersen uses something similar but it's not quite a T shape and Anderson has their name etched in the corner of the glass.
