Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have a ground floor window that has a frame that is rotted. Water gets in and gets the carpet in the basement wet. I have been in the house for 8 yrs now and the contractor came out and looked at it and said that it is not part of the 1-2-10 home warranty that we have. He told me this of course after ripping out the entire bottom of the window frame. The worst part is he brought another contractor with him that told my wife he could fix it real cheap but would not commit to a date or time. Since we have had 2 different people not show up to look at it to give us an estimate for repairs. Is this too small of a job for anyone to fit into their schedule? I like to think that I am somewhat handy but I am afraid to take on re-framing the window or would an epoxy repair kit work in this case? Need help, rain in the forecast!
