Help! We've taken on a bathroom project where the blue painters tape was left on the walls (never removed after re-painting of the bathroom). It's been on for several months, and the paint is stuck on the walls pretty good(I'm assuming this is due to the consistent moist conditions from the shower). Any suggestions on what we could use to get it off?

I'd like to keep the current paint intact, but it's OK if the paint is damaged. Just need to remove this tape.

Thanks!

Im thinking anything strong enough to break the ahesive after months may damage the paint. You could try rubbing alcohol and a razor blade on the DULL side. I have run into this too wear some people have actually painted over the tape and left it in place permanently. But i think you are going to have to touch it up either way. It may be easier just to scrape it off with a blade and repaint. Just use caution not to tear into the wall itself.

Not going to help you now, but for future reference, the blue tape is supposed to be removed within two weeks.

Perhaps heating tape with with blow dryer will facilitate removal. As indicated, touch up of paint may be required and prompt removal of tape is recommended.
