Hello, I sprayed a metal door I bought from Homedepot with regular latex paint. Some of the areas had drips on door. How can I fix this? The paint has dried. What is the best method to fix this. Can I sand the areas or should I use a type of paint removal. Thank you...

I had buy oil base paint as well as oil base primer to paint my metal door.....that was the only way it worked....I painted it in the summer thank god, cause I had to take it off of it's hinges and bring it to the garage since it took so long to dry and I have dogs and cats in the house!! I had a sercurity screen door on the front in addition to the metal door, so I just had a screen door for about four days..... at night I put a heavy quilt in the doorway behind the security door and the house stayed cosy.....anyway Home Depot said oil base was the only thing that worked......and it did....I would be interested in other opinions
