Hi folks!
I'm new to this forum, but I'm an experieced DIY'er.

I'm looking for information about converting a bathroom to allow handicap accessiblity. Is there a book out there somewhere? I haven't been able to find anything on the web for a DIY project.

I need to make the toilet and shower wheelchair accessible.

My daughter can not transfer herself from her chair to the toilet, so I guess I just need to provide extra space around the toilet so we can help her onto the stool. But do I need a new "special" toilet?

For the shower, I'm looking for different options about how to configure the knobs, shower head, drain, etc...

Thanks for any information you can provide!

Michael

mjgrimm,

I'm pretty sure that the below links will provide you with all the information you need. Both provide layout views, dimensions, etc.

This one is very comprehensive and long with 2D layouts - good stuff!

Hope this helps!
