Does any one have a preference as to which underlayment (foam/pad/etc.) to purchase for installing a floating engineered longstrip hardwood over. Sub floor is an on ground concrete slab with old tiles on top. I know to first lay down a vapor barrier. My goal is to find an underlayment that is value priced and will not result in that "hollow" sound that you get with the cheaper foams. The hardwood is "Lyptus" but comes with no manufactures recommendations. Thanks, Jerry
