I have a Frigidaire Gallery electric dryer, Model # GLER341AS1, it was squeaking a bit and then I noticed that it had stopped mid-cycle. The clothes were all warm so I know it isn't having a problem with heating. The problem is when I went to restart it it turned the start knob and it was on as I had the start knob turned and then when I let go it went off. I tried again and the same thing. I tried holding it on and I ran for a few minutes, overheated ( I am guessing from the smell) and stopped all together, wouldn't come on at all :wall: . I took the back panel off and could view the belt (which is intact) and all the pulleys. I gave the belt a tug and the drum moves fine, but I was thinking maybe a little stiffer than should be, could something be jamming the drum? Or is the door latch defective? I can't figure out how to get into the main component of this dryer, is it accessible through the back, the bottom or the top and how to get these panels off?? PLease help Thanks in advance
