My 18 month old son got a key chain stuck in my front loading
G.E VCR . I took the cover off and some inner parts offf and got the key chain out. put everything back together. now when i load a tape in it just pops out. can u please help me THANK YOU

This is going on cuz the loading mechanizm is not loading it all the way on to the vcr heads.

I would take the cover back off and watch it load, make sure to have yourself grounded. then see where its not letting it drop all the way, could be a spring not connected right or slightly bend lever.

I have ran into this a few times, with stuff put into the vcr.

Reminder, most MFG are going to stop making the vrc very soon, so if you have alot of tapes or movies. It is time to think about a spare one.

I believe they still will be selling the combo units. But sometime in 2006, Rumor has it wal-mart will stop caring just the vcr.

Just make sure you touch the case or side (metal ) before touching anything inside.
