My tappen oven does not light right away, you smell gas for about 3 or 4 minutes, then it will light. What should I do? Thanks.

Hi:Evansre
Safest thing you can do for now is NOT use it. With that much gas filling the oven chamber <3-4 minutes worth> prior to ignition, your running the risk of an explosion.
Call your gas supplier. Most offer an in home service. If not, contact the local repair agency listed in the yellow pages of your phone book.
