I recently got satelite t.v. Now I can't get any of my local stations so I purchased an off air antenna as the dish company advised me to do. They claimed it would be a free installation once I purchased it, but had an $80 change of mind when I requested installation. I attached the OA antenna to the dish according to directions. Inside connection is the problem. The installer of the satellite already has 2 diplexers on each t.v. (I have 5 t.v.s connected) I have tried to connect the OA antenna using another diplexer, but I don't get any additional channels "off air" and the satellite picture becomes full of snow. Any ideas? Thanks.

You didn't specify Direct or DishNetwork??
The Top60 channels with Dish include your market area locals.
Why aren't you getting the locals via the dish??

btw, those clip on ota antennas mounted to a dish aren't worth having in 90% of all cases.

I get local channels with DirecTv. The antenna is connected at the dish and the signal trravels down the same wires to the receiver. The necessary equipment should have been included with the snap-on antenna.
