I have no power to the system. Control panels are dark. I reset the breaker, checked the AC outlet and changed the battery. Any thoughts or suggestions??

You said you reset the breaker. Have you checked to see that there is 16vac at the AC power terminals on the panel? If you are lucky, the plug-in transformer has simply failed (no, it won't start up on battery power alone, it needs the 60hz from the ac power).
There is a chance that when the transformer went, it took out the power supply. This has been known to happen to DSC panels. They use a solid state PTC device, instead of a fuse, and sometimes they fail when the transformer does. If so, your only choice is a new motherboard.

I think it is a bad transformer. I ordered a new ELK transformer with built in breaker and LED power light. I will let you know how it turns out
THANKS!!!
