We have just ordered a new granite countertop and were going to pay to have the sink as an undermount. However, we want to use our current single lever faucet, but it has a 10 1/2 inch base. Can we mount the base on a stone countertop...would it look okay? All the photos of composite undermount sinks only show a single lever faucet with no base.....just the cut in the countertop. With the cost, we want it to look correct! THANKS!!

How old is the faucet, what is the model # and who is the mfg?
Have you been to the mfg's web site and reviewed the PDF files to see if your faucet is available w/o the base plate?
