I have just repainted all my kitchen cabinet drawers and doors and have purchased polished brass drawer pulls to install vertically on the doors and horizontally on the drawers. I have run into a snag however. I'll try to give a visual - my countertop is u-shaped. At the base of the "u" is the sink. Below the sink I have four drawers (two faux drawers directly below sink) that stretch the length of that side. To the immediate left and right of the four drawers, I have other drawers that are on the sides of the "u". My problem is if I install a drawer pull on either one of these side drawers, they will bump into the drawer pulls that are on the sink side. I have been searching for perhaps a ring pull for those two drawers so it would give less projection for the drawers beside it to open but haven't had much luck finding one in a polished brass finish. I've also noticed the flush ring pulls but am not interested in cutting a square into the face of the drawer front. If anyone has any suggestions or has run into this problem themselves, please let me know how I can get this to work. Thanks!

Um, how old are your cabinets? That problem with them hitting each other was a mess up by the cabinet manufacturer. They didn't put a wide enough filler in the corner to prevent this problem from happening.
There really isnt much you can do in this instance.

How did you get the drawers open before painting them?

The previous owners of my house (built in '75 by the way) replaced just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts in the late 80's. They put up the laminate doors (almond color) with the wood edging on top and bottom. The wood edging is what is used to open the doors and drawers. I have painted all the doors white, including the edging. They look great but are plain so I figured I'd dress them up with hardware plus it will also keep the fresh paint "virgin" so to speak. Apparently, the 'new' drawers or drawer front design was not meant to accommodate pulls but I am sticking with my plan to install them since it only really effects two drawers (on each side of the sink). I suppose I could leave those two drawers without pulls but am not ready to do that yet and am looking for any suggestions on what I can do.
