wondering if anyone here knows anything about fta satelite programing...I have a 10' c-band perforated dish, with a toshiba 2220 trx receiver with c and ku band connections....have never used the ku band, because i do not have a c/ku lnb, only a c-band lnb...Problem is most all the channels i was getting has now gone digital and i can't pick themup anymore. If i were to get a ku lnb would i be able to get anything with the receiver i have....Or would i be better off to get a fta receiver like the coolsat pro and a mini dish and tune in on some fta channels from dish network or others....thanks anyone....Oren

Oren,

You can get digital satellite using a Ku band LNB, plus a costly 4DTV receiver for the digital. A FTA receiver is another couple hundred dollars and it's mostly news channels.

I suggest you do what I did 2 years ago:
dismantle the 10' dish, install a lil' dish on the pole, and use the same coax to your tv. (my RG6 coax was 18 yrs old and worked fine)
