lift the lid on my kenmore 70 series washer and you can see model # 110.26722693 and the same model # is on the parts list that came with the machine.
there's no other identifying tag or label on the outside of the machine.
today, i called my local appliance parts store to get a replacement lid switch. besides the fact that the guy had a bad ass attitude problem, he said that the number above is not the model number.
i'm assuming he meant that because sears doesn't manufacturer their own machines that he needs the actual manufacturer's model #. if this is the case where do i find that #.
i need to replace the lid switch. the machine starts and washes and then stops. then if you jiggle the lid switch mechanism, it runs and completes the load.
thanks
