My daughter is in Africa (near Nairobi, Kenya) with the Peace Corps. She has been assigned housing in a cement hut, steel door, and a few windows. The construction is Concrete block walls and cement floor. I don't know what the ceiling and/or roof is made of.

She said the building is not in direct sunlight, and in the shade most of the time. From her description the dampness is from condensation rather than seepage. She has electricity, but no access to buy a dehumidifier. Other than circulation to bring outside air in to remove some of the humidity from the inside, are there any other low tech solutions to remove additional dampness? I'm concerned about mold and mildew.

Thanks

Jeff
