Recently my daughter moved into a new apartment and as usual I got stuck hooking every thing up. At the washing machine the water feeds are at the normal height. The opening for the machine drain pipe is 7' 6" above the floor! My guess is that is not do-able.
Question? Does the pump have that much lift? If so, how much damage will be done to the pump?
Question? There is an open floor drain next to the washing machine. Can the discharge be drained into the floor drain? Does there need to be standing water in the pipe, bach to the pump outlet to preserve the prime?

I would get some 2" PVC pipe and a couple elbows and make a drain standpipe. The top of the pipe should be at about the height of the top of the washers control panel. Make a run of pipe and fittings that will get you to the floor drain. Leave a gap of at least an inch from the floor. You can fasten this to the wall with straps or clamps such as conduit clamps. I have never seen a Washer with a hose long enough to reach 7'6". No water needs to be left in the pipe and you do not need a trap on the pipe. Good luck.
