My GE model TBH22PA 21.6 cubic ft.
I read many posts and comments fr GWIZ, joneq, Lugnut ....but can't find the answer for my problem.
I clean the condenser coils under the refrigerator and the fan is working when the compressor comes on.It's running constantly like it should because it is not so cold in the freezer .
I clean all the stuff and did all advices as mentioned by those valuable members.
There is no air blowing in the freezer. The fan there have some motion but it is not runing like it should.
Do I have to replace the evaporator fan motor ? If yes , please help me how to get parts and how to replace it.
Thanks in advance.

Yes I would replace the EVAP motor.
If they stop they get hot, making the freezer warm.

Mark the direction it turns first.
Take the motor with you to your local appliance parts store (look in your phone book), should have a replacement for about $10.00
Put the new one in, compare the rotation.

The link below shows one for $80.00 don't know why. that's why I don't like GE the price of parts are out of line.

Had to enter this model number TBH22

I took the motor to many part stores but they don't have it.
I check many on the net including Sear, they said I have to order and it will take about 2 weeks to get it and it cost around 100 to 150.00.
Is there any way to make/repair the evaporator motor to make its rotor turn since it look simple on a little board with couple of capacitors and resistors and I know the importance of that electric field that make it turn.
With that cost and time to wait for the part I think it is best for me to buy a new and cheap one because my frig served me about 8 years.
Any advice ?
Thanks in advance.

Without seeing the motor, and a schematic that maybe glued behind the fridge,
I will give you my best guess.

Maybe they set it up for two speeds, and your just seeing it on low.
If you have a manual it may state that the motor is two speeds.
or its a low voltage motor that requires the resistors and cap's to lower the voltage to the coil.
Maybe a delay timer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can take the motor to a mom and pop TV shop, ask them if they can check or replace the parts on the board for $15.00
Caution them, it may NOT be an 120 volt motor. if they decide to power it up.

If the cap's are an electrolytic type, they have a liquid inside that dries up, and they stop working.
cap's about $1.00 - $4.00 each.
resistors about $0.50 - $2.00 each.

Its rare that the motors go bad, if they do have problems, 99% of the time the bushings prevent the motor from turning or turning smoothly.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Not knowing what the board on the evap motor does.
I would check to see if the evaporator coils are caked with ice.
Some times you can turn off the fridge for a day, that may defrost the coils somewhat, if your freezer gets colder after that then you may have a defrost problem.

If you have the time try the above first.
I would buy a new fridge before I would give them $150.00. we don't know if your motor is bad at this point.

Its a throw away thing every year you get a shorter life on new items. if you repair this one it may last 8 more years.
your new one will last one day over the warranty.

It seems like the newer refrigerators start having problems about 7 years, most being a defrost problem.
I would avoid any digital computer controlled refrigerators.
It appears that some manufactures are making more money on replacement parts to make up for a lower selling price.
Example: your motor + cap's + resistors + board, made in a foreign country should be about $28.00 or less
think about it, you can buy a color TV for $150.00. they want 150.00 for your part ?
You can buy a cordless drill for less then $28.00.

I'm working on a GE refrigerator about 7 years old they want $93.00 for the 1-1/2 ft rubber drain hose.
the lower part or the compressor motor sits in the pan that water collects from the evaporator.
Don't know how thick the housing is, but it has thick rust flaking off the pump, may rust thru the motor any time.
I tried to call GE about the hose, they don't have anyone that answers tech questions.
this refrigerator sold for about +$4000.00 its a built in 42 cu inch.
