Hello all.

Here's the deal. I have an RCA 36" Home Theatre series television. It's about 5-6 years old (2000 model I believe). I've only owned it for about a week and up until today it's been great. But this afternoon, out of the blue, it stopped working. It was on in the background for a few hours, then suddenly it was off. No picture, nothing. When I click the remote or the power button on the set itself it makes a popping sound like it's starting up, flashes once, either a full screen flash, or a line down the middle, then pops off. It pauses for a second, then tries again. Then it does it a third time. After that it doesn't do a thing until I click the power buttons again, at which point it will repeat the same behavior.

Any clues? Is this something easily fixable by a tech for a reasonable cost ($100 or less)? I only paid $100 for the TV so I'm willing to put a little into it, but I can't afford much.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!
