I am hoping someone here has some suggestions or directions to fix a leak in my basement coming from the return air duct. There is no water in any other vent throughout the house. Nothing visible coming from the walls. We tested the plumbing by running the washer and shower.
This issue occurred after a very heavy thunderstorm. However, we have had severe rain storms and area flooding before without ever having and issue with our house.
I called an Ac/heating company as we have a home warranty - he siad the AC was not the issue. We called the company that installed the basement drain/pump - a precautionary measure from the previous owners - and was told it wasn't an issue that involves them.
I am at a loss. Only one side of the duct leaked, but the leak was significant enough to cause puddles on the ground and soak through the insulation.
Any adive is greatly appreciated.
