We have an entryway at the front door that you can walk around either side of a stone wall to get to the living room. On each side is a closet (one for A/C) and next to those a built-in bookcase. The bottom set of shelves are deeper than the top set, to give it a "counter-top" type of space. We just painted our entry way, and are re-doing the book shelf area. There was some ugly metal shelf racks in there (VERY library-ish???). Hubby took those out and added some wood filler to make it all flush. I wanted to get some sort of decorative bases to hold the wooden shelves up, but Home Depot evidently didn't have anything of the such. Just the same ugly metal stuff!
Hubby's idea was to get some quarter-round and add those to the insides to support the shelves. I love his idea, and we even found some decorative types, but I was wondering if they actually made some decorative "thing" for this exact purpose?
Anyone know?
Thanks and God Bless!
