Ok here goes again ...

I didn't see a thread search button, so please forgive ...

I am new to the forum, and am stumped ...

I had a coolant leak at the front of the heat exchanger, but fixed that. I checked all of the hose routings against my diagram ... all seem to check out. Filled unit with coolant, and briefly started engine ... here is the kicker ... the coolant started to come out of the stern drive (where you would hooh up the flush kit) ... maybe about 1/2 gallon . So, how did that happened ... dunno ...

I came up with 2 possibilities ... heat exchanger failure or rupture ... or the metal gasket failure on the exhaust manifold .... that gasket also seems to blocking 3 of the 4 cooling ports, is that normal??

Thanks in advance ...

Sorry I thought I was in a different thread, I thought these engines are water cooled not with coolant. Coolant? What do you have for a heat exchanger?
