We bought a new house installed with LCD5500, with 1 year builder paid
free monitoring. Just last week the "touble" LED on, and *2 command
indicating it's a "communication" problem. I'm wondering if this means
the monitoring company disabled monitoring for us, but we have
never used this service anyway(never set alarm on).
I searched on this forum, and many post saying I can:
[015] turn option 7 off
[380] turn option 1 off
[301-303] set all phone numbers to all F's.
I did all that, but the yellow 'trouble' LED still on.
now what else I can try?
thanks.

If you have a Power 832 (mode PC5010), those are the correct settings. Check your trouble read out. There may be more than one trouble, and you cleared one, and there is another, different one still left.

thanks for the reply. I used *2 to check the troubel status,
it's "communication" still. is there any needs to be reset?
like power cycle like of thing?
thanks.

If it's trouble 4, and you have made the changes, try a shutdown and restart. I'm not sure but I think I have seen DSC panels hang onto a trouble like this, before, and a restart cleared it. If not, then there's something else set up on this system that we're missing.

Unplug the battery, then remove the AC power (see the forum FAQ). Restore in the opposite order. For a DSC you will have to reset the system clock afterward.
