Hi,
I just installed an Ademco Vista 20P alarm system and it seem to work ok, but when I set the alarm and after is sets, the siren will sound for 3 to 4 sec and then shut off. Is this normal? If not then how can I change it. Any help would be appreciated. Sparky3

Check program location 38 (confirmation of arming ding) if there is anything other than a 0 in this location, the system will sound the siren after arming.

Thanks alot for the information. I changed it to 0 and that was the answer. I thought when it said a ding it would be from the keypad, not the siren going off.
Thanks again for the info. Sparky

It's one of those areas where they still use terminology that assumes that an actual bell is being used for the sounder. It's intended for remote arming so that you have a verification that the wireless actually worked.
