I am rather flumoxed about achieving the texture on my existing drywall. It is very large spread globs that have been knocked down. They twist and turn as they spread out on the wall. I tried throwing the mud at the wall and then using a trowel to knock it down and that works but the splatters I am making are smaller than the existing. I can't quite get how this texture went on. Does anyone have the know how on getting textures up? Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Kathy

I think you might have a 'skip trowel' texture. It is applied with a trowel in a hit and miss pattern. I have never applied it [only painted it] so I can't help you there.
