i have 2 briggs 8hp vertical shaft 3by1 cranks with all good parts except cylinder wall, piston, and piston rings. model #is 190702 cost of repair is over used engine purchase price. 8hp horizontal briggs engines are easier to find and many of these blocks look the same, costing less. can i inter change oil pan and and cranks in these to convert to vertical shaft? also will a 7hp vertical shaft 170702 interchange with my 190702 if i have to use crank.carb,linkage, and coil?
