Just finished installing the Concord hybrid system. I am trying to learn wireless sensors but it seems like I need to be within 2 feet of the panel to trip the sensor. Door sensors 15 feet away from the panel do not work.
The antennas are installed correctly. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help.

Unless there is something unusual about the location that you have the system installed in, this is pretty peculiar. It's not beyond belief that you have a bad reciever. If it's recieving from the modules, but only from a very short range, I would bet on bad hardware.

Thanks Ron.
Could this be an issue of interference with cordless phones or anything similar? Are there any tests I can conduct to check the panel receiver hardware?
Thanks for all your help.

Sunny

It's unusual for this model, but other wireless devices, like phones, wireless network, and the like can have an effect on the transmitter and/or receiver.
There is a test function built into the panel that can help testing but there is an actual testing tool that can give you a real answer, but it's not the sort of thing I would recommend a DIY to sink cash into. I really suspect that you have a bad receiver. The tool, an RF sniffer (ITI part #: 60-401) can verify that the transmitter are good from the location you want to place them. But it's a specialty tool, and if you don't set up these systems for a living, isn't a good expenditure. A local dealer may be able to check the issue for you.
These ITI transmitters normally have a range of 100ft+.
Do you have problems with other wireless devices in this location?

Thanks Ron.
I don't have problems with any other devices such as phone, wireless laptops, etc. Just the wireless sensors. I guess, I will have to send the unit back for repairs.
Thanks for all your help.
