Is this a new TV? Has it always been like this or did it just start?
Cable box involved? Do you have HD cable, digital cable, or regular basic cable?

Always easiest to start with the cables and the connections.
If you have a cable box, upgrade the cables to s-video or even component.

Its a 2001 model tv. I have dish network sattelite tv. I tried replacing all the coax cables with no luck. It did just start about a month ago. Its like ghost pictures on the screen. They are much worse with letters on the screen such as the on screen programming guide. I cleaned the tv this am and that didnt help at all either..... Its not the box either because i swapped it out with another thats working fine. Its just strange because the picture is beautiful from a dvd input. Its only when coming from the coax. Even if i disconnect the line in from the sattelite the menu that appears saying loss of signal has occured is in "ghost" form.....Thanks for any further help!!!!

I would ditch the coax and replace with s-video for the picture and red/white stereo cables for the sound. You have a decent TV and are getting a digital signal, but then use the worst possible connections.

I did ditch the co-ax and went with the s-video and seperate audio cables and it works great now! I am still puzzed as to why the picture is not good through the coax connection though? This just started a month or so ago. Its not like i just switched to dish network. There must be some sort of problem with the co-ax inputs on the tv. Thanks for all the help!
