Hi all,
I like to find out how much gap I should leave between the drywall and the floor. I'll be using tiles in one room and carpet for all others.
Also, I saw the 5lb box of 1 5/8" coarse screws at Home Depot, does anybody have a rough idea how many pieces each box has?
Thank you,
wt

1/2" gap is usually the best, and is the standard gap when using 92 5/8" precut studs. You don't want too big of a gap or the finished edge will show over the top of your baseboard.
If my memory serves me correctly, a 5lb box of screws will hang about 50 sheets of 4x8. But that might have been 1 1/4" screws.
