How do I go about re-installing a ceramic towel bar that was ripped from the wall? I have completely removed the 2 pieces & cleaned out the holes,,now what? What do I use & how is the best way to insure they stay?

Hi Lindi,

We skim a little thinset onto the backs of the brackets and then gob a bunch of grout on them and push them into the holes. Make sure you push them in all the way. Let them set a few minutes and then wash the excess grout away with a sponge. Wring the sponge out tight on each pass and continue wiping until the joint is clean looking. The rod, of course, must be inserted before the second bracket is installed. I know, I know, but I had to say it.

I need to add that the cost of a new set is not much. We get them for $4 or $5 at tile supply stores.
