I have a very slow leak in my very old Payne heat pump. I am going to recharge it but I don't know which is the high side and which is the low pressure side. There are two lines at the outside condenser. One is fat the other thin. Which is the high side? Does the high side change when the system is reversed when I am using the heat pump for heating rather than cooling?
THANKS!

frist of all if you dont have a freon licence dont try it you can be fined 25,000 and if you have a slow leak you should get it fixed call a tech to repair it it wont take long to braze it and replace freon and if you dont know what your doing with freon you can kill your self

Sorry but we don't give charging instructions here at DIY. Feel free to ask just about anything else.
