Something is whacked out with our washer!

We have a Maytag LAT9706AAE. I thought the problem was with the belts but replaced them both and problem still there.

The problem is the tub won't spin. I tilt the washer up and I can see both the belts turning but the tub does not spin. I can spin the tub manually with the belts but when it does it nothing happens!

Any ideas?

Sounds Like The Break Is Not Releasing.... Do You Feel And Tension In 1 Direction Or The Other When Turning The Trans Pulley

I have some more details.

Ok. When I pull the pump belt from the right to the left both belts move and the drive pulley also moves. However, when I pull the pump belt from the left to the right (which is how the motor does it) the drive belt nor drive pulley move.
