Hi,
A lot of the raised entryways in my area have brick facing on the riser which matches the bull nose brick and other brick edging etc. In some cases the riser is curved. I can't believe they use a full brick for this because it would extend the riser out too far and in the curved case the grout joints would be too wide. Are bricks typically sliced for this application?
Also, I have to cut some bricks and the cut will be visible. It's hard to believe a clean cut can be made with brick set. I have a 4" grinder and a circ saw with diamond blade but I suspect even these may not give the best results. For cleanest edge is renting a masonry saw a good idea?
Thanks
