Now I have removed the few (7) tiles in the bathroom that were damaged. Is it okay to use the "premixed patch and repair adhesive and grout" in one for the replacements? Thanks for your help, I am sure I will have more questions as this bathroom remodel moves forward. :)

Hi again, Amy

I don't know what the premixed stuff is. We use white thinset to adhere the tiles and powdered dry wall tile grout to do the grouting.

Maybe Rich will be along. He might know about the premixed thing.

Hi Amy:
I also do not use the premixed stuff. Use a white thinset with a 3/16" "v" notched trowel (you can buy small containers at home depot as well as a 3.00 dollar "throw away" trowel). Mix it like peanut butter and install your tiles. wait for them to set up and then mix your non-sanded grout in the color of your choice and grout them up as per the directions on the container.
Piece of cake!! If we can be of any more help come back and we will give it a GO!

P.S. I think the pre-mixed stuff has sand or some sort of silica in it and that is not what you want for 4 1/4" tiles!
