Mist/Fog blowing out of window airconditioner

My Window unit starts to blow fog or mist after it has been on a few minutes. The air is still cool, but doesn't seem as cold as it had been. Anyone know if this is serious? What to do?

is blowing inside the home or outside on the back of the unit?

It's blowing inside the room, through the same vent the cold air comes out of.

Could be water that may of been sucked into the blower and blows out at you..

I want to guess that the coil is freezing up on you, and when the blower shuts off, the ice melts and water gets into the blower..

Is your filter clean? Coil behind the filter clean??

If it's clean then you maybe low on charge since you said it's nto cooling like it used to.

I cleaned the filter (it wasn't very dirty), and I don't know anything about the "coil behind the filter."

But... if it just lasts through August, early September, I guess I'll buy a new unit for next summer. (It's gotta be at least 10 years old, even though only used 3-4 months a year, I guess it over. Maybe I won't spend the bigger bucks on another Freidrich. )
