We set a hot pizza box on my dining table and it appears the heat from the box "steamed" the tabletop. Is there anyway to remove these scars from the tabletop without having to strip/refinish the entire table?

The Turtle Wax solution will probably work if the discoloration is fairly new.

If the marks are white, you can apply some mayonnaise to it, let it sit few minutes, then wipe it off. Buff the surface with the residue that won't wipe off.
