lennox ac lights dim

new lennox 2 speed 17.8 seer, model xc21, a/c just installed. lights dim(quickly) when compressor starts. installer checked draw on motor at high and low speeds and said that was okay. old unit was lennox 16 seer, 3 phase, which never caused lights to dim - what else should be checked or is this okay? thanks

I always like the breaker to be at the top of the breaker box to help avoid this problem. You may also want to ask about a start assist or hard start kit. It adds a boost to the start up so it don't draw away from your home.
