I've heard about sips, and I was wondering about them. If anyone knows anything about them, it would be a great help. I'm mainly interested in how cost effective it is, and how much it actually costs.

S.I.P.s have had limited sucess despite the claims of speed and insulation. Cost usually seems to be the barrier.

They take planning and limit modifications in the future. Electrical and mechanical changes are difficult and you really shouldn't decide to punch in a new door or window sometime down the road.

To get an accurate price, you will probably need a firm plan for a guide. Then get a price on conventional construction. Make sure you included electrical.
