Hi! There is a lot of moisture and mildew in the space between my air filter and under the evaporator coils in my A/C system. I cleaned the coils and there isn't any moisture on the other side of the coils, in the blower or in the ducts. My drain line doesn't seem to be clogged. I want to remove the mildewed insulation that lines the inside of this space and replace it with clean material. What's the best way to do this? Also, what can I do to keep moisture and mildew from accumulating in this space in the future? Thanks.

What type of air filter are you using? You are not letting it get real dirty before changing it are you?

I'm using one of the pleated air filters. I change it every two to three weeks becasue I have a lot of pets and the filters get dirty much faster. Also, I'm in FL where we are constantly battling heat and humidity.
