It will be painfully obvious that I know NOTHING about this kind of thing but here goes....my 2nd floor a/c unit suddenly quit blowing any air. Granted, it's been very hot here in GA and the a/c has been running constantly but until a couple days ago, it's been fine. I went into the attic last night and found frost/ice caked on the thick, black rubber hose on the side of the unit (whatever it's called). So, I turned the unit off, assuming that it had frozen up and need to "thaw." It still wouldn't blow air this morning. Do I need to have someone come out and take a look or is there something else I can do myself?

Possible causes to why it's freezing up.
Dirty filter
Dirty inside coil
Filty blower wheel
Bad blower motor
Low on freon
When was the last time you had the inside and outside units cleaned?
Have you been chaging filters at least every 60 days?
Let it thaw out then turn the unit back on, make sure that both the inside and outside fans are working
