Everyone,
I have a split system gas furnace/ AC for each level (2 Ton Each).
The bottom always is cool when freon is where it should be but the top
unit during the day cannot get it done. At night, it reverts to being cool.
Aside from checking each vent's tempature (Read that On thread), what can be done in the attic. I want to address that area first.
Any ideas of what acceptable temperature the attic shouuld have and.
Answers to both of those questions would be great....

what can be done in the attic.
What do you mean by that?
What part of country (climate)?
In the midwest (missouri to New Jersey latitude) summer, attic power ventilators are set to 105 degrees. Does that help?
Is the air handler in the attic?
What are the vent temps?

You will want to clean the evap and condenser and make sure you have a clean filter. In the attic make sure you have good air circulation and plenty of insulation.
