Hello,I just purchased a Goodman 3 1/2 ton heatpump(CPLJ42-1) and airhandler(AR(UF)49-1) with 10kw heatstrips for emergency heat.I also purchased a honeywell model T8001C thermostat.I purchased this on ebay as new but no instructions. http://www.honeywell.com.au/business/acs/acp/ecc/manuals/T8000C_T8001C__T8011.pdf
The connection letters are:
G,C,R,W,Y,B and O
Also, there is a switch on back with the letters E and F on back and Im unsure what these do and what to set it on.
I wired up the thermostat and heatpump/airhandler with the specs provided (page 13 top schematic)(no outside thermostats) http://www.alpinehomeair.com/related/Goodman%20Heat%20Pump%20-%20Install%20and%20Operating%20Inst.pdf

My problem is the air worked fine but when I tried the heat it burned up my 24vt transformer.I tried rewiring it and again it toasted another transformer.
Should I have used the bottom schematic on page 13(it shows a EHR(emergency heat relay)? My airhandler didnt have a EHR but it did have a brown wire as shown coming from the airhandler connections.I was told to tie the brown and white together from the airhandler connections.

I need help,I cant afford to keep buying transformers......Thankssssssssss. :wall:
