I am replacing my old condenser fan motor. Only question I have is that the old motor just had one wire going to the capacitor. New motor has 2 (brown and brown/white) and the diagram is showing both should be connected to seperate terminals of the capacitor. Can I just connect say, the solid brown like the old motor and not worry about the brown/white on the new motor? Or perhaps both should be connected to the same terminal etc.?

Thanks in advance for any info.

When installing a new motor, a new cap should also be installed. If the old motor went to a dual cap (3 sets of terminals) leave that cap in place, less the fan motor wire, & install a new single cap (two sets of terminals) of the correct size for the motor. Wire per diagram on the motor.
