Can slate from a roof be reused on an interior floor? We are having an old slate roof that is falling off being replaced and I hate to see all the slate being thrown out. Or can it be used outside for stepping stones? Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Thank you.
That slate is fairly thin. A couple of bugs: some roofers purchase old slate. Some artists will purchase old slate and use it for carvings, table tops, and the like. A custom remolder may have a use for it in a site built bathtub or something similar. Some building material recyclers will purchase it also. In short, if you don't have a planned use, offer it for sale.
