I've just finished applying a few coats of tung oil to maple. The finish is super smooth and even, but I'd like it to have more sheen. Can I buff the tung oil finish as is? With what? Or, should I apply a wax top coat? Adding more coats to the tung oil didn't seem to increase the sheen as I expected. Thanks!

As you have seen, more coats don't increase the sheen. You can buff it, rub it out, or wax it and buff the wax. If the finish is nice and smooth now, try the wax. If it doesn't work out, you can always remove it with mineral spirits.
