removing moth ball smell

How do I get moth ball smell out of baby clothing. I put moth balls in with them and threw them in a rubbermaid container after our last daughter because our old attic had moths. I never relized how hard the smell is to get out. I've washed them 4 times, with baking soda and vinegar which did not do much. Does anyone know a sure solution?

Mothball odor is next to impossible to remove. Airing is the only recommendation by the EPA.
