Does anyone have an emerson dvd vcr combo that seems to switch from one function to the other on it's own?
When I am finished watching a dvd and leave the room, I can go to work and come home and the vcr light is on?? Any reason for this? I don't have a manual because I got it from a friend. Therefore, I don't know if this is a feature that automatically happens? please help me.

combo units fail, alot of them, not something I would recommend to buy.

The only thing you can try is a reset. unplug the unit for 15 minutes, all cables and power cord.

If that dont solve the unit, then you might want to contact mfg and see if that model number has a known issue. if it dont, then either replace unit if its not under warranty or wait for failure.

there is another possible issue, it may be in your tv tuner, you could try another tv, to rule out that also.
